Garner ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how your information is handled when you use the Garner iOS application.
Local & On-Device Data: All inventory items, expiration dates, shelf-life notes, and custom categories created within the app are stored locally on your device and, if enabled, synced securely via your personal iCloud account (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore). We do not host or store your inventory data on external servers.
Camera & Photo Library Access: Garner requests access to your device's camera and photo gallery strictly to enable scanning of store receipts and product labels. Photos are processed locally and sent securely to Google Gemini APIs only when an AI scan is explicitly initiated by you.
In-App Subscriptions & Purchases: All subscription transactions, billing details, and payment processing for Garner Plus are handled exclusively by Apple through your Apple ID account via StoreKit 2. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card or financial billing details.

You retain full control over your data. You can add, edit, or delete any item from your inventory at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all local data stored on your device.
Garner does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
